Martial arts classes have been run on a Tuesday evening at the Greenfields Centre since January 2005.

Robert Armstrong teaches » Samurai School which includes a combination of Japanese martial arts and life-coaching techniques which is available for children aged 7 - 14 years. "Samurai Kids in Schools" programme is a developed from Samurai School and is currently being taught as part of the after-schools programme at St Michaels school in Stoke Gifford.

For students 14 years and above Robert Armstrong teaches a style called » Mute Jinen Ryu Ninpo Goshinjutsu which is a self-defence influenced martial arts which could be described as being somewhere between Ninjutsu and Jujutsu. Students learn self-defence, meditation and energy healing techniques.

Free introductory classes are available for both styles.
